Either way though it's still funny to see people get mad over something that can be found under literally every post on that sub after a certain time God's truth, even when sinners like us speak it, is a powerful two-edged sword. When the apostles were released the second time from jail, they returned to their brothers and sisters. Luke wrote, Then they left the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the name This is not uncharacteristic for Jesus. In truth, He never offended anyone. His words offended them because they were the truth. People often mistake the action of a person for offensive when in fact the content of the message is what upsets the spirit. Jesus reminded the multitudes the words He spoke were the words of His Father. Truth is narrow The difference is wisdom. And since we are quoting Jesus Christ, he withheld the truth, and told parables instead, He told his disciples when they ask him why was he talking in riddles and parables, why not tell the truth like it was, he said it was not his time to go. SO, yes, there is a time and a place for everything e3ven the truth When Peter and John were arrested because they taught the people that Jesus resurrected from the dead they were brought to the religious leaders in Acts 4:17-21 it tells us But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name
Verse 38. - This verse, according to the best authorities, should begin simply, John said unto him - although in St. Luke they stand, And John answered and said - Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name: and we forbade him, because he followed not us.The casting out of evil spirits was one of the foremost signs of apostleship; and what surprised St. John was that one who followed. He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto YOU to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but unto them it is NOT given. Matt 13:10-11 . . . but unto them it is NOT given. Jesus spoke in parables the majority of the people could NOT understand The carnal mind is enmity towards God. The carnal mind will always try to alienate people from the presence of God. This is because Jesus is the truth that sets people free. Romans 8:7 (KJV) Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be
The truth was now concealed from those who rejected the truth they had already received, and they would reject Jesus' teaching as unintelligible. Understanding Jesus' parables requires careful listening. When Jesus tells the parable about the sower, He adds the phrase He who has ears to hear, let him hear (e.g. in Mark 4:9). If we. B. Jesus is true and righteous because He taught God's truth (7:14-17). Jesus did not go up to the feast with His brothers to make a grand entrance, because the people wanted to make Him a political king. But sometime in the midst of the feast, He went into the temple and began to teach. A crowd quickly gathered around Him . Before Jesus came, it was the Pharisees particularly, as well as the Sadducees and scribes, who set the moral standard for the community. They sat in the highest places in the synagogue. They were the ones who were most honored and celebrated for their virtue, but their virtue. But Jesus was in control of the timing. He was going to die during Passover because He would be the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. In this passage in John 8, Jesus spoke the truth about three important areas of the Christian life. He gives us the truth about discipleship; the truth about sin; and the truth about freedom. 1
He Hung Out With The Societal Rejects. Honestly, Jesus was crucified because he loved too much. He was crucified because he defied the religious leaders of his day that said you had to be a Jew, you had to become circumcised, you had to follow all 600 plus laws to the T, and more to come to God The Spirit of Truth Makes People Mad. But when the Comforter comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning If they were offended by his teachings, they could speak it openly. They are rejecting him because they are rejecting his teachings. But his teachings come from God. This is the method God chose to draw followers to Christ (I Corinthians 1:21-24). Those taught by God and who have learned God's lessons will come to Jesus

Jesus' words in the Gospel today are very encouraging, because He wants and demands us to speak the truth, and gives us four reasons not to be afraid to do so. 1) He says, What I say to you in the dark, tell in the light; and what you hear whispered, proclaim from the housetops (Mt 10:27) And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27 And he said to him, 'Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.' 28 But he was angry and would not go in
So they wanted to take Jesus by force and make Him king. Certainly, Jesus was the Prophet of whom Moses spoke. He was much greater than Moses, both in the signs that He performed and in the teaching that He gave. But by itself, to believe that Jesus was the Prophet was an inadequate view Then the L ORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them. (Numbers 20:7-12) God corrected Moses and Aaron because they made a poor a witness to the people. As God says, they did not hallow Him Jesus is the truth teller: ' And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free .'. ( John 8:32, NKJV) He entered Jerusalem and spent one week dropping truth bombs: Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the. He then reminds them of how they first met. He was sick and the Galatians took him in and cared for him even though it wasn't easy for them to do so. 1) He was repulsive but they took him in. 2) He was a man but they treated him like an angel—or like Jesus! 3) His coming was a trial but they did not turn him away They were unwilling to embrace Him for who He truly was: the Son of God. Their unbelief, determined refusal to see and accept the truth, would not allow them to see Jesus for who He truly was. Unbelief is easily offended. Number three, unbelief is easily offended. Marks says at the end of verse 3, They were deeply offended and refused to.
Jesus acted out His anger when He drove the moneychangers out of the temple courts. He did this because they had made God's house a marketplace; they had cheated people and prevented them from worshiping God (see Matt. 21:12). He became angry with the Pharisees because of their heartlessness He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. LIE: You know God's Truth because He called you into it! TRUTH: Truth (the true gospel) came by Jesus Christ, not by Herbert Armstrong. (John 1:17) He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Knowing His truth sets us free. (John 8:32) All totalistic or high demand groups (sometimes referred to as religious cults) proclaim that they have. They refused to answer because Jesus caught them in their own trap. If they said John who pointed to Jesus was from men then the people would be mad at them, but if they admitted that John was sent by God then they were admitting that Jesus was too. So Jesus didn't answer them (Matthew 21:23-27). Use a Story to Get your Point Across Gentl They were plotting (Matthew 21:46). And Pilate (John 18:28-19:16) knew there was no real case against Jesus. But instead of saying so, he tried the politically-sensible way out - Barabbas. That didn't work, but instead of sticking to His convictions that Jesus was innocent, he let Jesus be crucified to keep the people happy I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 1 Corinthians 2:15. But he who is spiritual [a deeply converted Christian] judges all things John 8:44 (MSG) If God were your father, said Jesus, you would love me, for I came from God and arrived here They were angry with him for upsetting their traditions and some of their scruples about the law. They looked down on him for eating with sinners and associating with those deemed unclean or unworthy. But most of all, they hated Jesus because he claimed to be from God, and as time went on, dared to make himself equal to God
The parent only heard the words 'there is no God' and, since they were spoken loudly, he thought that the teacher was in a heated discussion and shouted, 'there is no God'. All witnesses spoke the truth when they reported the facts. However, the truth lost out when it comes to the evaluation of the facts What Jesus saw in them was more important than how they saw themselves. The church in Smyrna thought they were poor when they were really rich (Revelation 2:9), but the church of the Laodiceans believe they are rich when they are really poor. We might say that it all began with their spiritual blindness And the best way to find out about God's character is to read the Bible. In the Bible, we learn about a God who desired to create us. We see a God who spoke all of creation into existence and formed humankind in His own image ( Genesis 1:26-28) with the very breath of His lips ( Genesis 2:7 ). This same God provided companionship ( Genesis 2:18. The Rejected Truth Why at the end they left Jesus Christ! ~Apostle Simon Gichinga The calling of servant of God is not a call to please the World, it is a call to please God only. Looking at the Apostles and Prophet's of old they were totally sold to their Master and wanted nothing bu The truth is that Jesus Christ is no respecter of persons and loves both Jew and Gentile, slave and free, rich and poor, male and female. But Satan has lied about each of these. They are now standing at the door of Syria to take it for their satanic version of the resurrected kingdom of Solomon, the deadly wound that was healed after receiving.
In Mark, we see that Jesus and His disciples were judged harshly by the religious elite; they didn't stick to the religious rules and traditions of the day, and the Pharisees were angry about it. But Jesus proved there is a difference between the traditions of man and the heart of God The man was a member of some Evangelical church, and of course he wasn't having much luck. He would knock on a door, say a few words about Jesus, and sometimes the people were polite, and sometimes they weren't. But in every case the young man had the door closed in his face . . . and so he moved on to the next house with his children Jesus will send him from the Father. He is called the Spirit of truth (also 14:17 and 16:13). He is spoken of as a person (14:26; 15:16, 26). He will testify or witness concerning Jesus. Points 1 and 2 we've discussed above in 14:15-17 and 14:25-26 ( Lesson 25 ), and in Appendix 9 The Sending of the Holy Spirit Speaking the truth without anger reflects Jesus. Jesus' life shows us that it is not always wrong to be angry. He was angry when others were mistreated, when His Father's house was misused and when peoples' hearts were stubborn. But he was not 'easily angered' and did not react to personal insults or betrayal The only time he confronted people with truth they weren't ready for was when their actions were doing great damage to others and, even then he wasn't heard. So true, but I'd go a step further and say, even with them he often couched the truth in stories - the prodigal son, the Good Samaritan, etc
For a time, Jesus was very popular with crowds. Many people came because they wanted Jesus to cure them. And Jesus did cure them. He told people not to speak about this, but they did. The news about him spread everywhere. There were *miracles. For example, he fed 5000 people by a *miracle (John 6:5-14). Enormous crowds came because of this Jesus rolled up the scroll and returned it to the synagogue attendant. Then He sat down, as a teacher would do, and all in the synagogue focused their attention on Jesus, waiting for Him to speak. He told them that these words from the Hebrew Scriptures were being fulfilled then and there, in their hearing Bible Truth Web Site Sermon - The Absolute Truth ! - John 8:20-32. Introduction: John wrote his Gospel while at Ephesus in 90-95 AD making it the last Gospel to be written. The Book covers no more than twenty days in the life of Christ. Chapters 13-19, covers the events of only one day, the last twenty four hours of the Lord's life His reasoning was perfect; His logic the most pure; and His preaching the most profound. No one ever spoke like Jesus spoke - with clarity, depth, and authority. Whenever Jesus taught, the reaction of the people was always the same. Luke tells us, all the people were hanging on to every word He said (Luke 19:48, NLT) Jesus was grieved and angry at the way they had perverted the Sabbath observance. He asked the religious leaders, Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill? But they kept silent. So when he had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts (Mark 3:4,5)

At the height of his ministry and miracles, many Jews came to believe in Jesus as Messiah, the Son of God. Jewish leaders feared Jesus because of his growing followers. With the help of Judas Iscariot, Roman soldiers arrested Jesus and he was put on trial for claiming to be the king of the Jews Finding Freedom In the Truth: Josh & Sean McDowell. A little over a year ago, before COVID-19, to bring up the subject of a New World Order, or a One World Government, was to be branded as a conspiracy theorist, in spite of the fact that such global institutions as the World Economic Forum, the Rockefeller Foundation, and many other global institutions have been publishing materials on their view of the future for decades, and predicting. The genuine truth often makes people very angry (Galatians 4:16). Remember what happened to Jesus when he spoke the truth to the Pharisees? All these men of God, and so many more, were hated because they preached the truth! They were hated for speaking the genuine Truth of God's Word. John 17:17 declares that God's Word is Truth Bible Truth - Sermon-. Jesus is Lord. INTRODUCTION: Preaching the Lordship of Jesus Christ is not popular message today. A few years back a preacher who was attending my church got mad with me called me a John MacArthurite, because I preached the Lordship of Jesus Christ. He caused great strife in our little congregation and finally left Psalm 18:17, He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me. When Jesus spoke, the Bible says he spake as one having authority and not as the scribes (Mark 1:22). In other words, his speech was different than theirs. Why is this? It's because he spake the TRUTH while they were busy speaking lies These words spoke his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that He was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue' (John 9:18-22). 'Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on Him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put.
2. Jesus Clears and Cleanses the Temple (Again!) Near the end of His ministry in Matthew 21:12-17 (also found in Mark 11:15-19, and Luke 19:45-48) He does almost the exact same thing as before. Tie that together with John 8:47 where Jesus nailed the Jews down and He said that the very fact that they were not responding to the things that He spoke was proof that they were of Satan the Devil. That can be a very difficult truth to accept because we do not like to think of ourselves and our loved ones within those parameters, but we.
However, just the opposite occurred. It was they who were made to look foolish, because they could not refute the wisdom of his message. Nor could they cope with his godly spirit. Stephen was proclaiming Truth, and they could not stand up against it. There is an old proverb --- Stones are not thrown except at the fruit-laden tree He became a guide, quiet and in leisure. In the middle of a school he came and spoke the Word, as a teacher. Those who were wise in their own estimation came to put him to the test. But he discredited them as empty-headed people. They hated him because they really were not wise men. After all these came also the little children, those wh Although they knew what the Lord Jesus expressed is the truth, they still refused to accept it. As we can see, the Pharisees simply hated the truth and hated Christ. 2. Their Purpose Was to Protect Status and Meal-tickets. That is not to say that they aren't Israelites. Hebrews is a generic term that no longer applies to us because it's just the description of people who speak a certain language (i.e. Arabs are Arabs because they speak Arabic, and Israelis and Samaritans are Hebrews because they speak variations of a Hebrew dialect) Zeno falls from the house-top where Jesus and other boys were playing, and is dead. The parents accuse Jesus of having pushed Zeno. He returns the dead boy to life for him to testify in favor of Jesus innocence. But Jesus reassured them with a simple gesture; he sat down and ate with them. Then Jesus opened their minds to understand the Scripture (Luke 24:45, NLT). Even though, they were the ones who originally had conversations with God all the time. They were the oracles of God. Privy to His wisdom like no others. But when the Messiah came on the scene they refuted every thing He did, including the miracles, choosing rather to call Him a heretic than the God of the Universe. Uncompromising Truth First of all, sad. They were not alone in this, because the Gospel writers tell us that the disciples, when the news came from the women to them, responded in unbelief. In fact, Luke tells us that their phrase was that their words seemed to them an idle tale.. If you like, an old wives' tale Jesus is either the way or no way but he is not a way.. CLAIM #4: Jesus is the TRUTH Truth in the Greek means completely true. It is the opposite of spin, which contains some truth. If you cut Biblical truth into a thousand pieces, all one thousand would be 100% true. CLAIM #5: Jesus is the LIFE There are two features here. The Truth About Judas — Betrayer of Christ. Judas Iscariot, which also was the betrayer (Luke 6:16). He was a handpicked disciple of Jesus Christ: a preacher of the gospel, a healer of the sick, a traveling companion of Jesus. He was so trusted he was made treasurer of the apostolic evangelistic team. He wasn't elected to the position. The Gospels record that the crowds were continually amazed at Jesus's teachings. The officers who went to arrest Him and came back empty-handed explained, No one ever spoke like this man. The religious leaders were angry at Peter and John for saying Jesus was the Messiah, because if Jesus was the Messiah: - He was right when He said they were proud and selfish men. - They were wrong to call Him a liar. - The leaders were wrong not to believe in Him. - The leaders would have to admit that they killed God's Son
